A shop built on not walking past things
Heron started as a habit. We could not leave a good piece behind, so we stopped pretending and started doing it on purpose.
We look through Europe, America and Asia for brands that do not usually make it to this coast, and we bring back one of each. No racks of the same shirt in five sizes. What is here is what there is.
We are a family business. Our family has run Central Tailor and Alterations in Mountain View for years, and Heron is the next chapter, here on the boardwalk.
Three kinds of thing, and nothing filler
New with tags
Never worn, still labelled. Brands that normally mean a plane ticket or a shipping form, sitting on a rack in Venice.
Past seasons
Single pieces that did not come back. The size is the size, and that is usually how the good ones stay affordable.
Objects and art
The things we could not leave behind. Odd finds, small runs, pieces that belong on a shelf instead of a hanger.
Everything is gone over before it goes out
Washed if it can be, aired if it can't. Nothing torn, nothing stained. If something has a mark on it, we say so before you ask. That is the whole promise, and it is the reason we are comfortable putting our name on pieces we did not make.

Packed by hand, shipped from Venice
Every order is packed at the shop and ships from Venice, CA 90291 with tracking. US shipping is free over $80.

All sales are final
Most of what we sell is one of one, so we can't take pieces back because they didn't fit or you changed your mind. Please ask for measurements and extra photos before you buy. We're happy to help.
If something arrives that is not what we described, or with damage we didn't mention, like a tear, a stain or a broken zipper, tell us within 7 days of delivery. Email info@heronca.com with your order details and photos. We'll look at every case, and if we approve it, we'll make it right with store credit for the full price of the piece, or another fix we agree on together.
Orders placed on eBay, Poshmark, Vinted and other marketplaces follow that marketplace's own return rules.
